- Oral Hygiene- Brush teeth 2x/day. Floss 1x/day. Use soft-bristled toothbrush and fluoridated toothpaste.
- Diet- Avoid foods high in sugar and carbohydrates. Healthy snack options include fruits and vegetables, and dairy products such as cheese. Chew xylitol chewing gum to satisfy sugary cravings.
- Morning Sickness- Rinse mouth with water (optional: and baking soda), or fluoridated mouthwashes after vomiting. Wait 1 hour post-vomiting to brush teeth.
- Visit Dentist- Visit dentist regularly during pregnancy, especially if you notice any changes to your oral health.
